I come from a large family and most recently we have been talking about doing a big family vacation with everyone. One of the biggest challenges with things like this always seems to be financial. Trying to manage contributions from everyone, checks in the mail, deposits, banks, reservations, etc. can be a logistical nightmare. 

A company called Wigadoo has developed a solution aimed at banishing this problem. With Widadoo you can organize your trip, poll likes & dislikes and collect payments from everyone in your group. What’s really interesting is their use of Virtual MasterCards, so the organizer doesn’t have to pay for deposits and such out of their own pocket. 

I haven’t used it yet, but it will be interesting to see how the platform evolves as users think of new ways to to leverage it.
